This spray came from conversations with clients who used to swim in the sea and rub aloe through their hair to help tighten their locs. That simple tradition stuck with me.
I’m originally from the East Coast of Canada, and every batch includes real Atlantic ocean water, brought to me by Maritimers who support what I do. It’s a small detail, but it means a lot — this product is rooted in real places and real people.

I am an active person who works out 6 days a week and washes their locs 1 to 2 times a week. This sea spray is amazing. It stops itchy scalp and refreshers your hair as well. I use it in between washes and it gives you zero residue and buildup. The ingredients are all natural and gentle. Its been a game changer for my loc care needs.

I came to hear of dread love from a simple google search of “dread locks Toronto”. There surprisingly wasn’t all too much returned in the results. I spent a moment of “eeny meany miney mo” to decide which of the 3 loctitians in Toronto I would settle on, and my god did the universe deliver. After some minor confusion with an autoresponder and a minor delay (mum’s orders), I had the chance to sit in the chair of the lovely spirit, Krista. I came in with the Afro of questlove and left with EXACTLY what my vision was of me in dreads. It took a few hours to finish my whole head, but time flew by chatting about important the happenings of a handful of television series we follow. I’d have stayed for dinner if I could have!
I was sent home with a good understanding of what to expect with my new locks and some instructions to prolong their life…did I mention I managed to squeeze an appointment at the last minute before heading off to vacation? Talk about accommodating!
